You’ve likely seen our building standing alone in the marsh, but have you ever come inside? Now is your chance to explore the ECU Outer Banks Campus.

Commencing October 11, tours of the ECU Outer Banks Campus, home to the Coastal Studies Institute, will be held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Visitors will be guided through the state-of-the-art Research, Education, & Administration facility to receive an overview of our campus, unique academic programs, and education and outreach initiatives. Visitors will also get insight into our diverse research laboratories and their current projects from a knowledgeable member of our Education & Outreach team.

These family-friendly public tours are thoughtfully designed to engage visitors across a range of ages, from school-aged children (ages 8 and up) to inquisitive adults and lifelong learners. Interactive elements have been incorporated throughout the tour to make your experience even more enriching. Tours are $5 and one hour in duration. Pre-registration is required, and spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration for tours in October, November, and December is now open. Already busy this season or not visiting the Outer Banks until after the New Year? Our 2024 tour dates and registration are still to come! Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates later this Fall.
